Hi, I’m Jessica!
My love for birth runs deep as it began with the birth of my baby sister. Hers was the first birth that I ever witnessed and it will be forever etched upon my heart. That experience sparked a fire in my heart which has grown into something that I deeply love and cherish today.
But it was the birth of my third baby that led me down the path of birth work. I really wanted to have a natural birth, but was unable to accomplish that goal with my first two children. So when I became pregnant with my third, I was determined to do things differently. I studied the Bradley Method childbirth course, hired a doula, and was able to achieve the birth that I desired. That was a lightbulb moment for me and I knew that I wanted to help other women do the same.
I went on to become a Bradley Method Childbirth Educator myself and became a Certified Birth Doula through ToLabor. Over the years I have been privileged to support many families through childbirth education and doula support. I have also assisted families in a clinical setting as a certified medical assistant working alongside an OB/GYN at Christ Hospital. I have training in Spinning Babies and am certified in CPR and Neonatal Resuscitation.
I draw on my education, years of experience, and resources to provide the best support, knowledge, and care for my clients. My ultimate goal is to help parents feel confident and supported in their decisions and have a positive birth experience.
When not attending births or serving families in the community, I am at home with my 5 kiddos and tending to our home. I love all things homesteading, making food from scratch, and holistic living. Anything grown from the roots of this earth not only nourishes my soul but also the wellbeing of my family and I.
I’d love to sit down with you over coffee or zoom and chat about your birth goals and how I can help support you along the way!
